Peaceful environment / Family Friendly
Jean’s Home is located in a neighbourhood outside of town called “Punta Estrada”, where there are only pedestrian pathways and thus it is very peaceful and quiet. The point can be reached by water-taxi, which are available 24h every day of the week. There is a beautiful beach close by (about 5 minutes away) and also a natural crack with cool brackish water where you can swim (about 15 – 20 minutes away from the Guest House). There are also a few restaurants located directly on the point and more of them just 5 minutes away in the main town.

Jean’s Home will be your home while you are staying on Santa Cruz Island. There are many activities you can arrange during the day, which can be done directly on Santa Cruz. Turtle-Bay Beach, The Tortoise-Farms in the highlands, The Darwin Research Station and the lovely town of Puerto Ayora are only a few of the things you can visit without even having to leave the Island. You can also book day-tours in town, which will provide a boat and crew to take you to other Islands and return in the evening. Some day-tour agencies also offer scuba-diving trips. In town there are many restaurants, bars, souvenir-shops and places where you can rent snorkelling equipment, kayaks and even surfboards.
